Crown the winner at Voyager HQ's Travel Pitch Night

Five innovative travel startup companies will gather at the Voyager Clubhouse to present to a panel of industry leaders and investors. Panelists and audience will judge each startup on presentation, business model's viability, product/market fit, and fundability.  Following the announcement of the winner, we will have a networking hour with drinks and hors d'oeuvres provided.



Werner Georg Kunz-Cho
Co-CEO of Fareportal

Werner brings over 35 years of experience in the travel industry. Prior to Fareportal, Werner was the CEO of, a leading online travel agency, VP of Business Development at Lufthansa Systems, Director of Marketing and Sales North America at CityBird Airlines, General Manager North America at Swissair’s charter division Balair/CTA and Director Operations at Travac Tours and Charters.

Alexander Shashou
Co-Founder & President of ALICE

Alexander Shashou is a co-founder and President of ALICE, the hotel industry first operations platform. Since establishing ALICE in 2013, Alex has taken the company through four rounds of funding, raising a total of $39M and building a global client base of over 1,700+ hotels and a team of almost 100. Alex received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, with a dual concentration in Finance and Operations and Information Management. After graduation, he took a position with Goldman Sachs in the Equity Sales division in New York, leaving to build ALICE.

Krish Jagirdar
Vice President at Brand New Matter

Krish is an Entrepreneur and Leadership Team Member specializing in the areas of web and mobile technology operations, product development and commercial strategies. As a Vice-President at Brand New Matter, he works with early-stage companies to increase their likelihood of success and evaluates early-stage investment opportunities

Rustom Birdie
Head of Travel at Affirm

Rustom Birdie leads Affirm's efforts in the aviation & travel space, with a focus on how financing and payment options can bring value to airlines & OTAs. Prior to joining Affirm, Rustom was Ancillary Revenue Manager at Virgin America, responsible for both 1st and 3rd party ancillaries. Prior to Virgin America, Rustom was a management consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, helping airline, airport, and DMO clients solve various strategic issues.
